Gold Package - 5 private Lessons + 4 Group Classes + 2 private lessons for the Bride/Groom party
(2 private lessons for one additional couple, e.g., bride & father, mother & father, bride or groom friends)
$470

Private lessons are scheduled Monday - Friday from 1:00 -9:00 PM, and on weekends upon availability. We recommend scheduling private lessons minimum 2 months prior to the wedding day. This will give you an ample time to perfect the dance and make you feel comfortable dancing together.

All private lessons are 50 minutes in length. We require 24 hour notice to cancel the lesson without any charges.

Please wear semi-casual and comfortable clothes. Ladies, do not wear your actual wedding shoes to the first lesson, though if you have similar heels, they are fine. The good rule is just to wear comfortable shoes, but not flip flops, platform shoes or sandals, as they are difficult to dance in. Gentlemen, please wear shoes with leather, suede or smooth rubber sole, as this will make it easier to dance on our hardwood floor.

Some important notes about your first song and first dance

  • A good wedding song should have a clear, steady beat. Often, standards from Sinatra or Nat King Cole song collections are Foxtrots, and they are excellent dance choices for beginning dancers. Other ballroom, latin or rhythm styles dances, such as Waltz, Tango, Swing or Rumba, can certainly be done easily with only a few lessons.

  • A good length for a wedding song is around two to three minutes.

  • Practice is the only way to really get comfortable on the ballroom floor, allowing you to look and feel good. It is just like anything else: the more you do it, the easier it is. So try to practice between lessons, it will really make big difference.

  • Tell your instructor the size and shape of your dancing floor. That always helps to choreograph your first dance.

  • Also decide when you want to do your first dance. Will it be at the beginning of the Reception, in the middle, after the cake cutting, before or after dinner?

  • Tell the DJ or the Band when you want to do your first dance. Make sure they will play the song at the tempo you practiced.

  • And finally, don't worry... If you forgot a step or miss a beat, just keep dancing, relax, breathe, recover, and enjoy this incredible moment together.
