Besides all the social dancing activities in our studio, we also train competitive dancers, who also enjoy the competitive aspect of ballroom dancing. We have amateur couples as well as pro-am students training in our studio. An amateur partnership means both partners are amateur dancers, whereas a pro-am partnership means that one partner is an amateur dancer and the other one is a professional dance instructor.
We regularly participate in many well-known competitions all across the U.S. and abroad, some of which are Ohio Star Ball (Columbus, OH), Michigan Dance Challenge (Dearborn, MI), Emerald Ball (Los Angeles, CA), Embassy Ball (Irvine, CA), Crystal Ball (Chicago, IL), Manhattan Dancesport Championships (Brooklyn, NY), Nevada Star Ball (Las Vegas, NV), Danse Sport Montreal (Montreal, QC), and United States Dancesport Championships (Orlando, FL).
The level of our competitive pro-am students and amateur couples varies from Bronze to Open Championship. If you are interested in competing, your level doesn't matter, because in all competitions there are categories for even the beginning level dancers. You are most welcome to talk to us about your intentions, and we can give you advice as to which competitions and levels might work well for you. We can even help you with competition registrations.
If you are an advanced competitor, you will find that Come Dancing offers everything you need to help you improve your competitive skills: exceptional facilities, flexible practice times, and highest quality instructions from both our own teachers and visiting world-class coaches.
